Premier Vlad Filat on working visit to Brussels

Prime Minister Vlad Filat and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Iurie Leanca will be paying a working visit to Brussels during September 29-30, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communique from the Government's press service. During meetings with heads of European and Euro-Atlantic institutions, the Moldovan Premier will inform the interlocutors about the executive's government program and will speak about the domestic and foreign policy priorities of the new Cabinet. Emphasis will be laid on the set of anti-crisis measures that the Moldovan Government intends to take to overcome the crisis. The relations between Moldova and the EU will be another topic of conversation. Moldova's key objectives in the relations with the EU are the negotiation of a new cooperation agreement, the liberalization of the visa regime, the continuation of the duologue on the Transnistria conflict settlement. These and other subjects of major interest will be discussed with the presidents of the European Parliament, the Council of the EU and the European Commission. Vlad Filat will also have bilateral meetings with his Belgian counterpart and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belgium.
