In the municipality of Chisinau, compensations in the amount of 40% of the value of bills for energy resources and public utilities will continue to be paid during the current cold period. Under the regulations approved by the Chisinau Municipal Council, compensations will be paid to families with an average monthly income lower than 3,000 lei per person or lower than 5,000 lei in the case of young families. An estimated 22,000 persons will benefit from such compensations, IPN reports.

The incomes of the applicants are calculated by adding the incomes of all the persons with the domicile at the applicant’s address and of those who live together, without a domicile. The persons who own two or more dwellings on the territory of Chisinau cannot get compensations.

Those who received compensations until now do not need to file applications again. Only those who need to report changes in the family or in the global income per person should submit applications.

The payments in bills will be recalculated in an automatic way.
