Polygon subtest to be removed from driving test from May 8

Future drivers seeking a Category B driver’s license will be spared from the polygon component of the driving test starting May 8, after the new rule was published in the Official Gazette.

The practical test, however, will keep key maneuverability elements formerly performed on the polygon, such as the ramp, the three-point turn, or the perpendicular parking. The test may not last longer than 25 minutes.

The candidates who successfully passed the polygon subtest before May 8 will not be required to repeat such elements at the practical test.

The polygon subtest will remain mandatory for categories AM, A1, A2, A and B1.
