Parliament has passed in its final reading, with 82 supporting votes, an amendment to the Law on environmental pollution, IPN reports.

According to the amendment, those who admit and pay this tax are exempted from equal amounts in fines and penalties under the Fiscal Code.

In order to avoid discrimination of those who have already paid their fines and penalties for 2017, relative to the taxpayers who will be exempted, a proposal has been put forth to cancel late payments fee increments and fines for 2017.

As Parliament passed the amendment just today, it has been decided to extend the declaration and payment of taxes deadline for the 2017 management period from 31 December 2017 to 25 February 2018.
