In the city of Liverpool, the UK, the local authorities announced the impossibility of extending voting after a false bomb threat. The Liverpool electoral bureau moved to the city of Manchester and the citizens of that region can vote at the relocated polling station. The information was presented at the meeting of the Central Election Commission, IPN reports.
By 07:00 p.m., Moldova time, only the polling stations in the cities of Kaiserslautern (Germany), Brasov and Bucharest (Romania) resumed work following the false bomb threats, after the necessary checks were carried out and no danger was identified, said CEC chairwoman Angelica Caraman.
Bomb scares today were announced at six polling stations abroad: Brasov and Bucharest (Romania), Frankfurt and Kaiserslautern (Germany), Northampton and Liverpool (the UK), and also at two polling stations in Varnita, where citizens residing on the left bank of the Nistru vote.
