Polling station in Frankfurt runs out of ballots. That in Berlin too

Polling station No. 1/349 in Frankfurt has used up all the 5,000 ballots that can be distributed by a polling place to voters under the Electoral Code, IPN reports, with reference to the CEC.

The Commission said that all the communication measures were taken to refer Moldovans to vote at the closest polling stations where ballots are still available.

Under the legislation, additional ballots cannot be printed and distributed. As the ballots are marked according to the number of the polling station, it is not possible to transfer them from one polling station to another.

Earlier today, representatives of the Police in Frankfurt said they received a phone call by which a person informed that a bomb had been planted at polling station No. 1/349 in Frankfurt. The specialized German services rushed to the scene for checks. Voting was suspended for an hour. As the police found nothing suspect, voting was resumed.

Update: /09:05/ One more polling station used up the 5,000 ballots. This is polling station No. 1/348 of Berlin. By now, four more polling stations closed after running out of ballots – No. 1/349 in Frankfurt, No. 1/393 and No. 1/394 in London, UK, and No. 1/344 in Montreuil, France.
