If parliamentary elections were held, the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) would remain at the top of preferences, according to a survey conducted by iData. The poll shows that 44 percent of those who decided who to vote for would support the PAS, 20.4 percent would vote for the Party of Action and Solidarity (PSRM), 13.9 percent - for “Victory” bloc, 6.9 percent - for Our Party, and 5.3 percent - for the National Alternative Movement (MAN), IPN reports.
"If we transform these data into seats, using a simple proportional system, without the votes of the diaspora and of the citizens from the left bank of the Nistru, we will have 49 seats for the PAS, 23 - for the PSRM, 15 - for “Victory” bloc, 8 - for Our Party and 6 - for the MAN,| Mihai Bologan, director general of iData, said at a news conference hosted by IPN.
President Maia Sandu is the politician who enjoys the greatest trust of the population. She accumulated 35.6% and is followed by Alexandr Stoianoglo - with 8.6%, Igor Dodon - 5.2%, Ilan Shor - 5.1%, Ion Chicu - 3.5%, Renato Usatyi - 3.2%, Ion Ceban - 2.4%, Irina Vlah - 2.3%, Vasile Tarlev - 1.1%.
Among the most active politicians, according to those surveyed, are Maia Sandu, Dorin Recean, Renato Usatyi, and Igor Dodon.
"Now we are witnessing "the calm before the storm" because the first half of 2025 will be probably quite rich in events related to the activity of political parties, as parliamentary elections are coming," said sociologist Mihai Bologan.
The survey also shows that 52 percent of the respondents are in favor of Moldova's accession to the European Union, and 38.9 percent are against, while the others do not have an opinion.
The survey was conducted during December 2-8., covered a sample of 1,006 respondents and has a margin of sampling error of ±3%.
