Political party thinks Communists have no longer right to lead country
The Communists Party has no right to lead the country, taking into account the catastrophic situation created after 8 years of rule, the president of the Liberal-Democratic Party, Vlad Filat, stated at a press conference on Monday, October 27. A day earlier this party committed itself to organizing a protest meeting against the authorities’ policies in the agricultural sector, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The leader announced that the meeting’s resolution would get on the rulers' table as quickly as possible and he expressed his hope that these actions would create an attitude towards these problems.
The Communist governance has had a bankrupt policy in agriculture during those two mandates and a number of impediments were created in the sector’s development. Subsidizing is not enough, and spreading out subventions was made on clientele criteria, to convenient groups controlled by the power, as the access to sale markets is limited, Vlad Filat said.
To create a competitive agriculture, we need an efficient system of supporting the farmres, implementing the state program of stimulating the long-term crediting, and also the program ensuring risks in agriculture. The party proposes introducing the zero VAT in agriculture, eliminating barriers in exporting agricultural products and the accomplishment of the national program on creating the irrigation infrastructure.
According to the party, on Sunday, October, 26, on the Great National Assembly Square, over 10 thousand people took part in the meeting. The protest action culminated with a march to the presidential headquarters where a barrel of sour wine and products showing miserable commercializing prices were left as presents for President Voronin.
