Political parties attend common exhibition
Almost half of the political parties registered in Moldova attended Wednesday an expo titled Partide.md, an event organized by the Central Electoral Commission with the Association for Participative Democracy ADEPT.
14 parties set up their stands in the Palace of the Republic. Some political leaders attended the show without arranging their stands.
The parties distributed promotional materials, as there were logos and flags on their stands.
The Communists Party was the only to have a stand but sent to representative. It bore only a single electoral message explaining “why the opposition will vote for the Communists.” Among their reasons: because “it is the only chance to reunify Moldova”, or to continue the process of European integration and to maintain the trust relationships with Russia.
According to the Central Electoral Commission, the move is to offer an outlook at parties and is an occasion for the parties to talk with media and inform the citizens on their electoral offers.
Igor Botan, ADEPT's executive manager, says the joint participation of parties in this event is a cheer-up before the approaching electoral campaign.
