“We firmly propose accelerating Moldova’s accession to the Europeans Union and appreciate the courage with which Moldova copes with Russia’s hybrid attacks,” the Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki stated in a news conference given on the sidelines of the EPC Summit, IPN reports.

The official noted that Poland supports Chisinau in its European integration aspirations and, eventually, in the aspirations to join NATO and also in the fight against hybrid attacks. Poland plays an important role in organizing arms supplies and coordinating discussions in Europe in the context of the Russian aggression against Ukraine and of the hybrid attacks in Moldova.

In a Joint Statement signed recently in Warsaw, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Republic of Poland and the Republic of Moldova approves of the European Council’s decision to grant the EU candidate status to Moldova and strongly believes that the accession negotiations with the EU should be opened by the end of this year.
