An employee of the Strășeni Police Inspectorate is investigated for influence peddling by officers of the National Anticorruption Center (NAC). He allegedly asked for money from a person for influencing officials of the Public Services Agency to reregister a vehicle, IPN reports.

According to the NAC, the policeman was denounced to the Internal Protection and Anticorruption Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs by the person from whom he allegedly requested money.

NAC officers searched the suspect’s home and car from where they seized money, copies of documents necessary for reregistering the vehicle and a mobile phone. The policeman wasn’t detained.
