Police seize 10 kg of marijuana

The police arrested a 37-year-old man from Hansca village of Ialoveni district, who attempted to sell about 10 kilograms of marijuana on the black market.
Adrian Jovmir, spokesman for the General Police Commissariat, has told Info-Prim Neo that the market value of the seized drugs is about 100,000 lei.
According to the police, the crumbled dried leaves of hemp were kept in the attic. During the interrogations, the man confessed that he wanted to sell the drugs for 300 lei a glass. He faces 7 to 15 years in jail.
As many as 165 drug-related offenses have been recorded in Chisinau so far this year. There were started 139 legal cases over such offenses.
