Police hunt down group that made and sold amphetamine

The police arrested three men who are suspected of making and selling amphetamine in very large quantities on Moldova’s territory. They were caught on the Chisinau – Balti road with about 5 kg of amphetamine, a packet of marijuana, a Makarov pistol with seven bullets and €500 made by selling drugs in their car, IPN reports.

The police established that the suspects planned to go to a forest near Codreanca village of Straseni district to make a large quantity of amphetamine. The men were arrested immediately after making the drugs.

In the apartment rented by the suspects, the police found marijuana, aluminum powder and compressed tablets similar to the ecstasy pills as well as tools for chemical reactions, syringes of different sizes, a scale and a device for taking drugs.

The men, aged between 25 and 27, are from Chisinau municipality. They are accused of putting narcotic and psychotropic substances and their analogues into circulation and face 7 to 15 years in jail.
