The police provided details about the recent cases of disappearance of young people. According to the police, the whereabouts of the 11-year old girl from Soroca and of the student of the Academy of Economic Education aged 21 were established, but the 19-year-old girl who went missing on January 12 continues to be looked for, IPN reports.

Acting head of the General Police Inspectorate Gheorghe Cavcaliuc told a news conference that the minor aged 11 went missing on December 22. She was found. It was established that the girl was in Chisinau where she took a minibus to Orhei as she wanted to visit her relatives there. The girl is from a socially deprived family and leaves home for the 18th time. Each time the girl was brought home and the responsible social services were announced.

Gheorghe Cavcaliuc said the 21-year-old student who went missing several days ago was identified in an apartment in Chisinau, where he was together with other young people. The young man was under the influence of alcohol and probably of drugs too. It is alleged that this quarreled with his mother and intentionally didn’t inform her about his whereabouts.

The head of the Biucani Police Inspectorate Pavel Voicu said the searches in the case of the student of the University of Medicine and Pharmaceutics “Nicolae Testemitanu” go on. Gabriela Patrascu aged 19 went missing on January 12. She was seen last when she was paying for public utilities at a bank in Chisinau.

According to Pavel Voicu, it is presumed that the girl went to a monastery herself, but the police do not rule out the possibility that the girl was the victim of a tragedy. The General Police Inspectorate said 26 applications concerning disappearance of persons were submitted in 2015. Twenty-five of the persons who went missing were found.
