A car of the General Police Inspectorate crashed into an ambulance at the intersection of Ștefan cel Mare Blvd and Pushkin St in central Chisinau.

The driver of the police car has told IPN that they were coming from Buiucani district and wanted to pass at the green color of the traffic lights with the siren wailing. The ambulance was coming from Pushkin St and also had the siren wailing. It intended to pass at the red light signal.

There was no patient in the ambulance as the vehicle was going to an address to which it was called out.

No one was hurt. The police are conducting an investigation.
