Poets Iulian Filip, Vasile Romanciuc, Ianos Turcanu and Diana Zlatan Ciugureanu on November 5 announced that they support the Liberal Reformist Party (PLR) in the campaign for the November 30 elections. Diana Zlatan Ciugureanu said that she joins the PLR and will be put on the party’s list of candidates for MP, while the others will support the party without joining it, IPN reports.
Iulian Filip underlined the necessity of promoting culture and education, saying these areas were shadowed by other subjects in the election campaign, but the PLR didn’t ignore them.
“I support a team of people whom I value a lot. Some of the members of the Liberal Reformist Party are my old friends. They are people whom I trust and near whom I’m not ashamed to go,” said Vasile Romanciuc. He noted that the PLR made a crucial contribution to the country’s European course.
For his part, Ianos Turcanu voiced hope that all the pro-European parties will enter Parliament and disapproved of the polls saying the PLR will not pass the election threshold. “Ion Hadarca is a symbol and a historical figure whom the children will study at school,” he stated.
“I studied the electoral platform of this party and saw that it is in accordance with my views as person of culture and my life views,” said Diana Zlatan Ungureanu. She added that the PLR’s program addresses the country’s problems and offers profound solutions to them. The entry into NATO is an important option that will ensure the national security and, consequently, will improve the investment climate and will lead to welfare.
The PLR is under No 5 in the ballot for the November 30 elections.
