PLR expresses moral support for Veaceslav Negruta

The Liberal Reformist Party (PLR) expressed its morally support for former minister of finance Veaceslav Negruta, who was put on probation for a three-year period for abuse of power, IPN reports.

Veaceslav Negruta was accused of paying €400,000 damages to former MP Pantelei Sandulachi for the delay in examining a case, in the absence of a definitive court decision, acting based on an execution decision issued by the Rascani Court.

The PLR said this sinuous trial had been delayed for many years and was finally examined by the first court in a particular political context. ”This fact reveals a crass deficiency in the functioning of the unreformed judicial system of Moldova and its dependence on the ruling political clans,” says the party’s statement.

The PLR believes in Veaceslav Negruta’s innocence and hopes that this will be able to obtain justice in a national or European, independent and politically uncontrolled court of law.
