The Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova (PLDM) will organize a large rally in the Great National Assembly Square to present its activity report for September 2009 – September 2014. Afterward, PLDM will starts the electoral campaign. The announcement was made by party leader Vlad Filat on Saturday, August 23, after the extended meeting of the party's national council, IPN reports.
“It's absolutely normal for a governing party to presents its activity report and after this action, the party will basically start the electoral campaign”, said Filat.
He added PLDM wants to win the elections and will get a victory, which is necessary not only for the party, but for Moldova. “We have the duty to make the European process irreversible and to offer a better life to the people and the actions we have started, cannot be reversed. Any political party wants to come to power and PLDM's goal is to get enough seats to be able to govern. We have an objective, we have the resolve and we'll certainly get the result we want”, said Vlad Filat.
Asked by journalists if he sees himself as President in the future, the Lib-Dem leader replied that he never targeted specific posts, but only victory, and the posts are the consequence of victory.
