The municipality of Balti is the industrial power and the driving engine of the north of Moldova. It has engineering experience and can be a reliable partner for investors, the team of the Liberal Democratic Party stated in the launch of their election campaign in Balti. “Balti can become a modern and developed city,” the party’s candidate for mayor Sergiu Burlacu stated in the electoral event, IPN reports.

Sergiu Burlacu noted that the first objective in his electoral program is to make sure that Balti has developed infrastructure. This way, over the next four years, the water supply system will be modernized and extended. Elizaveta village will be connected to the sewerage system of Balti. Over 50 km of roads will be repaired during four years. A project will be launched to thermally insulate the façade of apartment buildings with the assistance of the mayor’s office, by attracting investments from Moldova’s development partners. Sidewalks and parking places will be built in each quarter of the municipality of Balti. The urban bus and trolleybus services will be modernized.

Another objective is to ensure the municipality of Balti becomes a generator of high-quality services so as to depoliticize the City Hall, primarily the managerial posts that will be rid of the influence of political parties. Entrepreneurs will be offered free consultations so as to support the development of small and medium-sized businesses.

“It’s time to build our industrialized and technologized future when the young people will no longer leave as they will have sufficient opportunities at home. It’s time to build the future in which we can invest sufficiently in schools and kindergartens, in medical and cultural institutions, in roads, green spaces and sports grounds. It’s time to build a mayor’s office that serves the people,” stated Sergiu Burlacu.

Sergiu Burlacu was born on May 11, 1990 in Balti. He is a bachelor of economy and has studied European international law. He fights for justice and correctness in administration, noted the party that fielded him for mayor of Balti.
