PLDM office in Balti vandalized
The office of the Balti Local Organization of the Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova was vandalized on the night of November 6, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the PLDM.
Unidentified persons tore up the state flag and the PLDM’s flag, destroyed the election posters placed on the building’s façade and defiled the walls. The tricolor was pulled into pieces and there was left only a piece of red fabric.
The organization’s administration informed the police and there was started a legal case. International observers who supervise the election campaign were invited to the office and shown photo and video evidence of the criminal act.
The party’s deputy chairman Mihai Shleahtitski, the head of the Balti Local Organization of the PLDM, said the political opponents of the Liberal Democratic Party are unable to conduct a fair election campaign and resort to dirty methods that point to their cowardice.
The PLDM condemns this act of vandalism and reasserts its commitment to lead a non-aggressive and fair campaign.
Earlier, the Democratic Party of Moldova complained that a humbler of the offices of its campaign staffs had been vandalized by unknown persons.
