The parliamentary group of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) will decide whether to vote for the dismissal of Marian Lupu from the post of Speaker or not after they will hold discussions with the Communist Party (PCRM) and the Democratic Party (PDM). The announcement was made by the leader of the PLDM, Acting Prime Minister Vlad Filat after the party’s meeting in the evening of March 19, IPN reports.
”The party’s executive bureau empowered the parliamentary group of the Liberal Democratic Party to discuss with the Communist faction so as to see why such an initiative was proposed and with the colleagues from the Democratic Party so as to exchange opinions. It’s normal as this is a specific situation that concerns the dismissal of the Head of Parliament. As a result of these discussions, which will most probably take place on Wednesday or Thursday, the parliamentary group will take an appropriate decision,” said the Liberal-Democratic leader.
Vlad Filat stated that in the meeting they also discussed other bills, including those concerning higher pensions for persons who receive less than 1,300 lei, the introduction of a common tax in agriculture, and the modification of the method of administering the VAT in agriculture.
”These are important projects that are to be debated and adopted in Parliament this week. The pensioners should receive increased pensions from April 1, while those that will enjoy a facilitated tax administration system in agriculture should benefit from it as quickly as possible,” said Vlad Filat.
A week ago, the Communist Party put forward a bill on the dismissal of Marian Lupu from the post of Speaker.
