PLDM celebrates five years on political arena
The Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova is marking five years of the foundation. The PLDM appeared on the political arena on December 8, 2007, constituted by a group of persons headed by Vlad Filat, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The PLDM took part in five elections. In the first elections in which it ran, on April 5, 2009, the party won 15 seats of MP, in the July 29, 2009 early elections – 18 seats, while in the November 28, 2010 elections – 32 seats.
In the local elections of June 2011, the PLDM obtained 3,646 posts of local councilor in villages and communes, 295 posts of district councilor, and 221 positions of town councilor. The party also holds 323 seats of mayor.
The PLDM announced that it has 43,000 members grouped into 40 local organizations and about 1,750 primary organizations.
