The Cabinet on May 17 approved the 2017-2020 plan of action for implementing the consumer protection strategy, IPN reports.
The document envisions the harmonization of the national normative framework with the EU’s as regards the minimum quality and safety requirements applying to products and services. It is planned working out and implementing sector market surveillance programs and ensuring efficient cooperation between the consumer protection authorities.
The implementation of the planned actions will be financed with the available budget resources and with funds provided by the foreign development partners.
