The Liberal Party (PL) filed the list of its candidates for the posts of municipal councilors to the Chisinau District Electoral Council. The PL’s press officer Ion Puscas has told IPN that the party’s candidate for the mayoralty of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca will submit the documents needed for being registered as election runner later.

Each party running in the local elections in Chisinau municipality must present a list of at least 51 candidates for the posts of municipal councilor. In the other settlements, the number of candidates depends on the number of members of the local councils.

A draw will be held at 5pm to decide the order in which the candidates who submitted the documents
for registration today will be written on the ballot.
