The political situation is difficult and this means that we are heading for early parliamentary elections, political analyst Petru Bogatu said in the talk show “Place for dialogue” on Radio Moldova station, IPN reports.
“What happened in Parliament this Monday is an organized failure. The parliamentary parties, especially the PDM, are responsible for this. Some try to remedy the situation, but the Republic of Moldova is close to a collapse and this became more evident after the refusal to vote in the government,” stated the analyst.
According to Bogatu, it is very hard to make forecasts as regards the second attempt to invest the Cabinet. “After criticizing Sturza, now Marian Lupu does not seem so confident. It’s impossible to create that parliamentary majority without the PLDM, which, after the arrest of Filat, escaped from oligarchical captivity,” he said.
Bogatu considers the PLDM is the party that must suggest the candidate for premiership and the fact that some of the parties managed to attract MPs on their side overnight does not count. It is the vote that the people gave to the PLDM in the elections of November 2014 that matters. If the Liberal Party forms a coalition together with the 14 MPs who left the Party of Communists, this will represent the party’s political suicide.
