A woman from Chisinau lied that she holds a lawyer’s license and signed contracts for the provision of legal aid with a number of persons. Between October 2012 and August 2013, the offender obtained illegally over 17,000 lei.

The swindle was discovered when a number of clients complained to the law enforcement bodies that they gave money to the woman, but she did nothing to solve their cases in court.

The Buiucani Prosecutor’s Office finished the investigation into this case and charged the women with swindle, IPN reports.

Currently, the 33-year-old woman is under house arrest. She faces up to six years behind bars.
