PDM goes on tour of Moldovan villages and towns

The Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM) launched a campaign to inform the people about the possibility of choosing candidates for the party’s list for the November 30 legislative elections. The campaign is carried out within the event PDM Express “Moldova’s Voice” within which the party’s leader Marian Lupu and members of the PDM will travel to a number of settlements to tell the people about the possibility of selecting Democratic candidates, IPN reports.

In the morning of September 8, the PDM’s team went to the first settlement - Peresecina village of Orhei district. Before the departure, Marian Lupu said that they will go to villages and towns to inform the people about the possibility of becoming actively involved in taking political decisions.

“The election lists of the Democratic Party will no longer be compiled in the offices of politicians. We want to offer decisional power to the people. This way, we evidently want to start an internal reform at the Democratic Party in the hope that it will be popular. I’m sure of this fact. I’m sure of the success of this new idea that will be later spread. This way we will contribute to the profound reformation of the political class and to the democratization of all the processes in Moldova,” stated Marian Lupu.

He noted that it is very important for the people to understand what open elections are. This is the party’s mission – to go to the people and communicate with them so as to make sure that the September 28 elections are as transparent as possible.

“We want to listen to the voice of the Moldovans who should contribute to the compilation of the PDM’s election lists. “Moldova’s Voice” will not stop here. We want to know what opinions the Moldovans have about their problems and needs so as to identify solutions for a better life for them,” said the Democratic leader.

The Executive Political Council of the PDM on September 3 decided that all the candidates of the Democratic Party of Moldova for the parliamentary elections should be chosen by the people. On this occasion, the party launched the campaign “You choose the candidate”.
