PDM doesn't rule out corruption in Anenii Noi Council vote

“We don't rule out it was an act of corruption”, this is how Democratic Party (PDM) vice president Igor Corman commented on the case in which two Democrat councilors voted for a Communist district head in Anenii Noi, Info-Prim Neo reports. “PDM reiterates its firm stance for the creation of democratic alliances at district level”, Igor Corman told a news conference on Saturday. MP Corman went on to state that the delay in signing a general agreement on local-level coalitions between the component parties of the Eurointegration Alliance can lead to further such negative cases in districts. As the two Anenii Noi councilors didn't answer their phones to give explanations, they were excluded from the party, says Igor Corman. The remaining two PDM councilors seemed to remain loyal as they walked out of the assembly hall during the vote. On Saturday, Communist Vladimir Vizdoaga was re-elected as Anenii Noi District Chairman, with the vote of 17 councilors.
