PDM constitutes faction on Comrat Council
The Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM) now has its own faction on the Comrat Municipal Council. The decision to create the faction was announced in the Council’s December 4 meeting, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to a communiqué from the PDM, the constitution of the faction became possible after the public movement “Noua Gagauzia” joined the Democratic Party, which has 18 municipal councilors of 27. Victor Vasioglo was elected as faction head, Gheorghii Mitioglo as deputy head, while Ecaterina Bessarab as secretary.
Thus, the PDM became the most representative party on the Comrat Municipal Council, holding the posts of chairman and deputy chairman of the Council and five municipal commissions of six.
