The pro-European parties in the Parliament should not rely on PCRM's support to elect the President in 2016 because by then the Communists could remain without MPs. Speaking during the “Pahomi” talk-show on Realitatea TV, political analyst Olga Nicolenco gave the example of MP Irina Vlah who left the PCRM group, IPN reports.
“If an MP leaves the group at the very first meeting of the Parliament, let's imagine what will happen later. I think that by the time comes to elect the head of state, PCRM could be left with 5-6 MPs”, said Nicolenco.
The expert thinks that Vlah might be PSRM's candidate for the bashkhan's office in Gagauzia. “I think that this is Dodon's work. I'm almost sure that Vlah will run for bashkhan. If we analyze the results of the ballot on November 30, we'll see that the Socialists have won the elections in the Gagauz autonomy and Vlah needs their support. However, the Gagauz are a loyal people and they won't like the fact that she betrayed Voronin. Vlad used PCRM to gain an MP seat. She obviously knew what were the plans and views of Voronin. What she did isn't fair, it's cheating”, concluded Nicolenco.
As regards the negotiations on the formation of a pro-European coalition, Nicolenco thinks they hit a dead end. “If they had anything at all, they would have surely told us, they would have thrown us a bone. But they are keeping it secret because they don't have anything to tell. The negotiations are at a stalemate and this was proved at the first meeting of the Parliament, which has been fruitless”, said the expert.
MP Irina Vlah announced during the first meeting of the Parliament that she was leaving the PCRM group because of Voronin's readiness to negotiate with the pro-European parties.
