The social problems of the people represent the essence of the agenda of the parliamentary group of the Party of Communists (PCRM). The faction informs that in order to implement their electoral program, they registered 15 legislative initiatives with the Parliament’s Secretariat, IPN reports.
Among these initiatives is a bill providing that pensions will be indexed two times a year, another bill stipulating that the lowest student scholarship will exceed the minimum subsistence level for the previous year and a bill that suggests annulling nonworking private individuals’ debts to the mandatory health insurance funds for the period preceding 2015. Another initiative provides solutions for solving the housing problem of young families.
The Communists said that in 2015, it is 70 years of the victory in the World War II of 1941-1945 and they formulated a series of initiatives for celebrating the anniversary and supporting the veterans. These initiatives stipulate that the veterans will annually get a lump sum of 10,000 lei before May 9, free wheelchairs and hearing aids, will be exempted from paying for public utilities and will have the costs for dental prostheses covered in the amount of 4,000 lei.
Another legislative initiative concerns Moldova’s permanent status of neutrality. It defines the principles for internally and externally strengthening Moldova’s neutrality. The Communists said this initiative should be present in the parliamentary agenda given the fundamental importance of keeping the country’s sovereignty and integrity and the international recognition of Moldova’s neutrality status.
