PCRM and PPCD tergiversated elections in order to carry on stealing country one month more: AMN
The Communist Party (PCRM) and the People’s Christian Democratic Party (PPCD) have delayed the establishing the date of the parliamentary elections by a month on purpose, Moldova Noastra Alliance (AMN) states.
“The Communist-Christian leadership tergiversated the elections. Voronin and Rosca need more than a month to continue the shows on TV stations, which are at the beck and call of these two leaders, and also to steal and mislead the country through the so-called pay rise, the so-called decrease of bread prices, etc.,” AMN leader Serafim Urecheanu stated on Monday, February 2, at a briefing before the first parliamentary sitting of the spring session.
Deputy Valeriu Cosarciuc said that he participated in the sitting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) from January 26 to 30 . “The Communist-Christian Alliance has intentionally boycotted this session because it knew that AMN offered materials on the pre-electoral situation to the Committee monitoring the fulfilling of Moldova’s commitments before the Council of Europe. According to the PACE regulation, the Committee does not examine such materials unless in the presence of both the representatives of the parliamentary majority and of the opposition,” Cosarciuc said.
The Parliament is to approve the decision on establishing the date of the parliamentary elections at the sitting of February 2. The spring session has begun without the traditional discourses of the leaders of the parliamentary factions, taking into account the approaching electoral campaign.
The standing Bureau of the Parliament has approved the initiative of three Communist deputies to establish the election date on April 5.
