The Party of Communists (PCRM) and the Liberal Party (PL) would clear the six percent threshold to enter Parliament, with 29.4 and 6.2 percent of the popular vote, if elections were held next Sunday, according to an opinion poll presented Wednesday by the Center for Sociological Investigation and Marketing CBS AXA. The survey was conducted as part of the Gallup International's Voice of the People project, Info-Prim Neo reports. The same two parties were indicated to have a chance to enter Parliament in the Sociopolitical Barometer, carried out by IMAS-INC, and the national survey “Monitorul social – 2008”, conducted by CBS-AXA and commissioned by IDIS Viitorul. The survey presented on Wednesday by CBS AXA shows that one in four respondents would never vote for PCRM. 14 percent of the respondents would never vote for the Christian-Democratic People's Party (PPCD), 3.4 percent would never vote for the Moldova Noastra Alliance (AMN), and 3.1 percent would not vote for the pro-Russian movement Ravnopravie. In what concerns popularity, President Vladimir Voronin occupies the first place, with 75.6 percent of the respondents saying they know him well to very well. He is followed by ex-Prime Minister Vasile Tarlev with 55.5 percent; Deputy Speaker Iurie Rosca with 50.1 percent; AMN president Serafim Urecheanu with 42.9 percent, etc. In the positive-to-negative attitude category, Vladimir Voronin leads with 41.7 percent positive and 28.4 percent negative, followed by Vasile Tarlev (34.5 to 16.2), Speaker Marian Lupu (33.5 to 19.4), and Chisinau Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca (33 to 26). Iurie Rosca scored 12.4 to 38.8. The politicians whose political affiliation is the most often confounded by the electorate are Vasile Tarlev, Dumitru Braghis,Oleg Serebrian.
