The cost of PCR tests performed in state-run labs has been cut from 755 lei to 300 lei after the government significantly reduced the procurement costs of chemical reagents needed for the tests, IPN reports.
Also, the Catalog of Medical Services Prices has added a new service – qualitative detection of antigens specific to the new Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, which will cost 35 lei. This price does not include the costs of the rapid diagnostic test.
These prices will be applied by laboratories within all public medical institutions.
The decision will take effect after being published in the Official Gazette.
