Pavel Filip, chairman of the Democratic Party, argues that the crisis period has passed, and now the PDM parliamentary group is united. The leader of the Democrats says he is confident that the group will remain united until the end. The statement was made in the context of speculations that certain Democratic MPs could leave the party, IPN reports.
"We have managed to restore this balance within the group, that is why I am absolutely certain that the Democratic Party group will remain united until the end," said Pavel Filip on "Replica" show, Prime TV.
At the same time, Pavel Filip avoids to say with whom the PDM would form a parliamentary majority, if the current coalition collapses, and snap elections are not organized. "The Democratic Party will always pursue, firstly, the interests of the Republic of Moldova and, secondly, the interests of the party because we have a large team behind us and each person must feel part of this team, including the fact that his/her opinion is taken into consideration”, mentioned the PDM leader.
The politician says that one thing he wants to achieve as quickly as possible is a more efficient communication within the party. "Together with the team that helps us, we will find a smart solution to reform the party," specified the former prime minister.
