The leader of the Democratic Party (PDM) Pavel Filip said the year 2019 was a difficult one for the country and for the party that he manages. In the meeting of the National Political Council of the PDM held on December 15, Pavel Filip said that despite the changes and difficulties, the PDM not only survived, but also managed to achieve the best score in the local elections and showed that it is not the party of one persons, but is a powerful and united team, IPN reports.

The Democratic leader noted that after the difficulties it experienced, the PDM became more powerful. He thanked the heads of the local organizations, district heads, mayors and all the members of the PDM for the work done daily and for the fact that they remained devoted to the party.

“The Democratic Party moved from the government to the opposition and then returned with a very good score at the local elections. As a tree manages to endure storms only if it has powerful roots, so the PDM resisted owing to its solid local teams,” stated Pavel Filip.

He also said that the coming year the party he manages will communicate more with its members and supporters so that the party becomes even more powerful and united.
