The PAS Party says Igor Dodon hasn’t fulfilled any of his promises in his first year as president.
“Moreover, he violated major commitments like not entering into an alliance with Plahotniuc. Igor Dodon deceived people just to take their votes, but now he is governing the country together with Plahotniuc, getting rich at the people’s expense”, PAS said in statement.
“They live in luxury, while keeping people in despair and poverty. They want to get away unpunished for their abuses and control everything in this country. But people should know that Igor Dodon is a liar who would do anything to remain in power”.
“The Socialists and the Democrats voted together to change the electoral system into a mixed one, through which Dodon has opened the door to Plahotniuc into the next Parliament”.
The party notes that despite Igor Dodon’s promise to make sure that the perpetrators of the bank fraud are brought to justice, no one was punished. The president, the party says, lives in a house worth 5 million lei, bought from suspicious sources; he went on seven vacations this year, and the Turkish vacation alone cost him half of his annual presidential salary.
Another unfulfilled promise, according to PAS, was to appoint a corruption-free professional to the post of Prosecutor General. “On the contrary, Igor Dodon has accepted all the corrupt judges nominated by Plahotniuc’s captured Parliament”.
PAS further accuses Igor Dodon of lying about the soaring exports to Russia, as PAS says they actually dropped slightly as a percentage of the total exports, and about his promise to trigger snap legislative elections within his first 100 days.
