The Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) started its campaign prior to the snap parliamentary elections of July 11. The event was held in the Square of the National Opera House “Maria Bieșu” and brought together members and sympathizers of the party, including from districts. The PAS candidates for MPs promise to implement the initiatives launched by Maia Sandu in a number of areas, including those that refer to the justice sector reform, economic growth, rise in salaries and pensions, decentralization of the LPAs, provision of compensated drugs to all the disfavored persons, support for the business community and the diaspora, IPN reports.

PAS leader Igor Grosu said that 15 MPs of the PAS implemented what President Maia Sandu promised to do. “We should mobilize and struggle for each village and each quarter so that the people vote for the PAS,” he said, calling on the citizens from the diaspora to vote for the PAS on July 11 so as to punish the thieves.

PAS vice president Natalia Gavrilița, ex-minister of finance, noted that the PAS works for all the citizens. “We have a historical chance to vote upright people MPs, who would support Maia Sandu’s initiatives. With a President, Parliament and a Government that support the same values, the Republic of Moldova can ensure economic growth,” stated Natalia Gavrilița, noting the party’s program envisions the building of roads and water supply and sewerage systems, rehabilitation of kindergartens, construction of modern hospitals in Cahul and Bălți.

PAS vice president Sergiu Litvinenco said the party has an ambitious agenda for the justice sector. “We must have courageous prosecutors and independent judges who would hold the thieves accountable,” he stated, adding the PAS aims to amend the legislation so that the property of thieves is returned to the state and the citizens.

With the support of Romania and the EU, the Republic of Moldova will be able to implement development projects in different areas, said PAS vice president Mihai Popșoi “We must have good relations with Russia and with Ukraine too, but the national interests of the Republic of Moldova should not be ignored,” he noted.

PAS candidate for MP Dan Perciun said the party aims to increase the minimum pension to 2,000 lei, to raise salaries in the public sector, to provide fully compensated drugs to the most vulnerable ones, to take measures to support the persons with disabilities, to offer support to entrepreneurs who will employ persons with special needs.

Eugeniu Sinkevich, head of the PAS Youth Organization, noted the PAS will develop projects so that all the children have access to drinking water, while the young entrepreneurs are supported by the stated. “We will struggle to drive the thieves away and to bring the young people back home,” he stated.
