PAS and DA make one step closer to snap elections, declares Vitalie Gamurari

The Democratic Party spokesperson Vitalie Gamurari is accusing the political parties forming the bloc NOW of trying to sabotage the formation of a parliamentary coalition, referring to the talks announced by PAS and DA in parallel to the ones slated by President Igor Dodon for Tuesday at the same hour, with the exception that the Democratic Party leadership wasn’t welcome to the former.

Gamurari posted to FB that the refusal to participate in the negotiations brokered by the president meant “one step closer to triggering snap elections” and that PAS and DA should “assume responsibility for this irresponsible action, which will throw the country into a profound social crisis with a direct impact on Moldovans’ lives”.

NOW earlier said that any MP interested to discuss its “de-oligarchization” legislation was welcome to its talks in lieu of the presidential ones. The Democratic Party regards this as an attempt to blackmail and corrupt MPs from other groups. “The two parties alleged earlier, lyingly, that PDM was trying to discuss individually with the MPs of the now former political bloc NOW. This proved false, and today we have proof that PAS and DA are in fact those using a tactic they earlier publicly condemned”.

“Instead of working to give people better pensions and salaries, as they promised, (PAS and DA) launch political wars and blackmailing actions in Parliament and try to destabilize the country”, declared Gamurari.

Gamurari added that his party was condemning this as a derailment of political dialog and called on the public and foreign diplomats to take note of this.
