Party announces win over justice ministry
The People’s Republican Party (PPR) announces it got the case in a trial with the Justice Ministry. The Appellate Court pronounced its verdict on Friday, December, 26. The Justice Ministry made no comments as to the issue, Info-Prim Neo reports.
PPR sued the Justice Ministry that it refused to register modifications to the party’s statute. PPR stated that the refusal of the Justice Ministry to register the amendments is a political commission of the present governance, whose goal was not to allowed the party to participate in elections.
A press release by the PPR reads that during the trial, the ministry representatives tried to tergiversate the examination of the case, being aware that they would lose the case.
After finishing the trial, Nicolae Andronic, the leader of the PPR, stated that now the Justice Ministry will have to register the amendments to the party’s statute and to unfreeze its participation in the coming parliamentary elections. “Certainly, the Justice Ministry can insist on its own mistake, but it would be a good thing that JM recognizes its mistake,” Nicolae Andronic said.
