Parliamentary majority rejects Communists' proposals
A number of legislative initiatives proposed by the Communist MPs for discussion in the first sitting of the autumn-winter session were rejected. They included a project to increase the pensions two times a year and the childbirth allowances and benefits for invalids, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“Regretfully, the governing alliance did not include these proposals in the agenda, arguing they had not been examined by the specialized parliamentary commissions. We submitted them to the competent commissions, but they also rejected them,” said MP Oxana Domenti.
The leader of the Democratic Party Marian Lupu said he does not believe Communists' intentions to formulate bills that would solve a number of problems. “The faction that boycotted the Parliament's sittings for half a year, now returns and makes proposals,” he said.
Political analyst Viorel Cibotaru told the reporters that the Communists Party returned to Parliament in order to start its election campaign. He said this is a change of tactics only as the Communist MPs remained as aggressive towards their colleagues.
