Parliament on May 17-18 will host the 49th meeting of the Legal and Political Affairs Commission of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSEC PA). The meeting will involve representatives of the legislative bodies of the 12 BSEC PA member states, IPN reports.
Under the agenda of the meeting, the representatives of the national delegations will take part in debates entitled “Role of parliaments in strengthening the legal framework for ensuring economic growth and social integration” and will choose the chairman and deputy chairman of the Legal and Political Affairs Commission for a two-year period.
Moldova is a founding member of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization and its Parliamentary Assembly. On February 26, 2018, the BSEC PA will celebrate the 25th anniversary of its foundation. The 12 member states are: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Turkey, and Ukraine.
