Parliament postpones implementation of Entrepreneurial Activity Law
The Parliament on Friday decided to postpone the implementation and enactment of the Law on the basic principles governing Entrepreneurial Activity, because the provisions of the implementation timetable have not been fully met.
The term of the implementation and bringing into effect of the law was extended from August 2007 until 1 January 2008.
The law had to be implemented in 3 stages. In the first and second stage the authorities were supposed to review the relevant pieces of legislation, to recommend amendments and submit to Parliament approved reports by 26 December 2006 and 26 March 2007, respectively. At the third stage, the respective recommendations were supposed to be debated and okayed by the Government and submitted to Parliament for consideration by May 26. Neither of these provisions has been observed.
