Parliament names five members of Antidiscrimination Council

The legislative body appointed five members of the Council for the Prevention and Elimination of Discrimination and Ensuring of Equality. These are: Ian Feldman, Svetlana Doltu, Andrei Brighidin, Evgeni Goloshchapov and Victorina Luca. These will serve a five-year term in office, IPN reports.

The contest involved 16 candidates. Their professional capacities were assessed within an interview that involved representatives of civil society.

The Council for the Prevention and Elimination of Discrimination and Ensuring of Equality is an autonomous, impartial and independent public authority created in 2013 to prevent and protect against discrimination, to ensure equality and to promote equal opportunities and diversity.
