The MPs come together for the first sitting of the autumn-winter session of Parliament at 1pm on September 23. The Parliamentary Council for European Integration convenes the same day, IPN reports.
After the September 21 meeting of the Standing Bureau, Speaker of Parliament Andrian Candu said the sitting’s agenda includes the appointment of the vice governors of the National Bank of Moldova and the implementation of the Association Agreement with the EU. The other priorities of this session refer to the continuation of reforms, including in the justice sector and corruption fighting, and the fulfillment of the preconditions imposed by the International Monetary Fund.
Andrian Candu said the IMF put forward 16 preconditions of four categories that refer to the banking, financial, fiscal, energy and other sectors. They are to adopt a number of documents and to identify the solutions agreed with the EU so that the money allocated by the central bank to the three banks is converted into state securities.
