Parliament accepts resignations of two Supreme Court of Justice judges

Two judges of the Supreme Court of Justice, Vasile Cherdivara and Natalia Moldovanu, were discharged from posts based on their resignations. The Supreme Council of Magistrates also accepted the resignations of the two judges earlier, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Though the judges asked for the resignation of honor, which is keeping their immunity throughout life, the MPs voted only in favor of their discharge from posts.
Earlier, Prosecutor General Valeriu Zubko instituted disciplinary proceedings against Natalia Moldovanu. The case is to be examined in the June 15 meeting of the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Council of Magistrates.
