Pantiru thanks voters
Tudor Pantiru issued a statement today to extend his gratitude to the voters for becoming a member of the Romanian Parliament, elected in Eastern Europe & Asia constituency no.2, which includes the Republic of Moldova. The fresh MP expresses “a heartfelt thank you” for the effort made by the voters in electing him to represent them in the Romanian Parliament, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“I would like to mention in particular the tremendous contribution of the Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova, which has been there for me from the first moment and showed total openness”, says Pantiru.
“In Romania's Parliament, I will represent all the Romanians from the Republic of Moldova and the countries in the region, and my activity will be entirely dedicated to fulfilling my electoral promise, that is, to adjust the legal framework so as to undo the historical wrongs and bring the Romanians of Bessarabia closer to the Country, and the Country closer to them”, the statement reads.
Though Eugen Tomac polled much of the Moldovan vote in the November 30 elections for Romania's Parliament, it was Tudor Pantiru who eventually got the MP's seat reserved for the respective constituency, due a vote redistribution procedure largely criticized by Romanian media and politicians.
