More than 600 Polish people have come to Moldova in the period between June 5 and June 7, when the match against Poland is to be played, Border Police spokeswoman Daniela Minzatu has told IPN.
The return Moldova-Poland game of the 2014 World Football Championship qualifiers takes place on Zimbru Stadium in Chisinau starting at 21.15. The stadium has a seating capacity of 10,000. The Moldovan Football Federation offered 400 tickets for Polish supporters.
Moldova played the first-leg match against Poland last September and was beaten 2-0. Poland ranks third in Group H with eight points. The game for the Polish team is crucial as they lose any chance of qualifying for the Brazil World Champs in case of a tie or a defeat. Montenegro heads the group with 14 points, followed by England with 12 points. Moldova ranks fifth with four points. Only the top teams in the group qualify for the championship.
