More than 4,000 people have secured employment since the start of this year through the National Employment Agency. Among them, 1,324 were unemployed, and 60 were hired for a period of up to three months, IPN reports.
"We are starting the year strong! We will continue working to deliver results and support our citizens", said Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Alexei Buzu.
Data shows that 35% of those employed are women, while 18% are individuals over the age of 55. Additionally, 40 people with disabilities and 19 returning migrants have found jobs. The most common fields of employment include services, construction, agriculture, trade, and industry.
The National Employment Agency encourages job seekers to visit local offices for free assistance in the employment process. Additional information is available by calling the toll-free number 0 8000 1000 or visiting the portal www.angajat.md.
Last year, over 16,000 people found jobs through the agency, and the goal for 2025 is to support at least 18,000 individuals in securing employment.
