Over 40 shells dating from World War II discovered in wood

More than 40 artillery shells dating from World War II were found in a wood in Harbovat village of Anenii Noi district, IPN reports.

The shells posed an increased threat of explosion. According to the National Investigations Inspectorate, it was determined that several individuals tried to unbury them and to use them for unidentified purposes.

The shells will be collected and demined by the bomb squad of the National Army.

The people are urged to obey ordinary security rules and to inform the police or the authorities if an explosive device is discovered.
